Relaxed fun dives.

You can call yourself a fun diver once you finished your Open Water Course with us or any other dive school. You should come for a relaxed fun dive with us if you have already a certification with either SSI, PADI or any other worldwide recognized diving organisation. In this case we offer fun dives every day. Relax on our nice spacious dive boat and enjoy the colorful underwater world of Koh Tao. The primary reason to learn all the skill in the Open Water Course was to enjoy a relaxing dive. So go for it and dive with us.

So what are the differences between fun dives at Dive Point and one of the many other choices on Koh Tao??

– The Dive Point boat is unique on Koh Tao.
– We serve coffee, tea, chocolate drinks, water, cookies, fruits on the boat for free all day long.
– Free breakfast if you dive with us in the morning.
– Equipment room is on the boat with 20 sets of diving equipment. So no need to carry tanks or equipment to and off the boat
– We have a dry area (classroom/briefing) on the boat.

Fundive Costs:

Prices depend on the amount of dives you do.
1000 Baht per dive – 1 dive
900 Baht per dive – 2-5 dives
800 Baht per dive – 6-9 dives
700 Baht per dive – 10+ dives

10% Discount for people who bring their own equipment

 

We do not force fun diver to book packages. We apply the package price once you did your last dive. Meaning you do not have to make a decision up front. Come dive with us a day, 2 days or a week. We will keep track of the dives you did. You keep them recorded in your logbook and you pay the number of dives you did at the end according to the package price.

You don’t have your own equipment or didn’t want to carry it with you on your trip to Koh Tao? We offer the complete set of equipment without any extra charge. We give 10% discount for fun diver who bring the full set of equipment to dive with us. See the price list and just deduct 10% of the price in the list.

Why diving on Koh Tao

Koh Tao has a world wide good reputation for secure and cheap diving courses. And also for the nice dive sites for fun diver. The dive sites we offer in our schedule are the top spots of Koh Tao and are absolutely worth to dive. We offer a wide variety of dive sites. No matter what your preference is, we have something for your taste. Coral, colorful tropical fish, outer reef, pinnacle or a wreck.

We offer a fix schedule which we will offer as good as possible. Only the weather could change that plan. Obviously it is always safety first. We will always offer an alternative site in case the weather doesn’t allow us to stick to the schedule. We dive the best sites around Koh Tao, like Tuesday and Saturday we do as one of the only schools a double dive at Chumphon Pinnacle, Sudnday and Wednesday Southwest and Shark Island and Monday, Friday Wreck and White Rock.

How many fun dives can you do?

You could do up to 5 dives a day. 2 deep ones (max 30 m if you have a deep dive certification) in the morning, 2 nice coral garden dives (max 12 m) in the afternoon and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday a night dive (max 12 m if you have the night certification). Dive sites like Chumphon or Southwest are famous for their Waleshark sightings. Since this 2 pinnacles are on the outer reef and a bit deeper. This spots are also famous for the big schools of Barracuda and many other reef fish. In the afternoon we get sometimes visited by a turtle at Twins. Koh Tao is actually translated to Turtle Island.

What can you see during fun dives?

If you are lucky you might see a green or Hawksbill turtle. They can get up to 1 m and could weigh more than 100 kg. The biggest advantage for you to dive from the Dive Point boat is that is unlike most other “dive boats” around Koh Tao which are just converted fishing boat. The dive Point boat is a custom build spacious dive boat. We have 20 set of equipment directly on the boat in our custom build equipment room. That offers you the advantage that you do not have to carry your equipment bag on and off the boat like most other Koh Tao dive shops. Basically you come in the morning or afternoon to the Dive Point dive shop and your guide will take you to the boat, give you your equipment.

What do you need to bring?

All you need to bring is swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a towl and your personal belongings.

Your dive guide will take care of you and help you with all diving related questions. We offer all day between the dives, water, coffee, tea, cookies, fresh fruits of the season and even a small breakfast between the morning dives.
