The Dive Point Boat

 

 

Come enjoy the Dive Point Boat:

The Dive Point boat is not like most of the other diving boats around Koh Tao a fast and cheap converted fishing boat

• It is a special build dive boat. It is 25 m long and 5,5 m wide with a total space of 125m2.
• The Dive Point boat is powered by a 480 PS Diesel engine and has a 90 PS Generator to power the 3 on board compressor.
• The boat is equipped with a 5000 l freshwater tank for the 2 showers on the diving platform..
• We are also the only boat that has a real toilet system. Nothing will go into the sea.

The sundeck:

The sundeck with dimensions of 4 x 8 m (32 m2) is the best place to relax and get some sun between the dives.

The upper deck:

This deck is 5 x 18 m (90 m2) with the captains cabin, a dry area/classroom, kitchen and chill-out area. Our amazing boat area is covered with a roof to protect you against sun and rain.

Our front of the boat belongs to the captains cabin equipped with a radio and GPS fish finder. Behind his cabin is the dry area which can be used as a briefing area or classroom for some parts of the courses.  On the rear end of this deck is the chill-out area. This part has tables and benches to sit for breakfast or chill-out under a roof between the dives. You will also find the kitchen there with free water, coffee, tea, cookies and fresh fruit to enjoy between the dives.

 

The dive deck:

On the dive deck you will find the emergency room, first aid box and 6000 l oxygen, the Equipment room, 3 compressor and the tanks.

The equipment room stores 20 sets of well maintained equipment sets. We also store 20 more sets on land. Just in case your size is not available on the boat. Our equipment is serviced by highly skilled technician on a regulatory basis and a full service is done once a year. That mean that you do not have to carry around heavy bags or grades with equipment on or off the boat every day. All equipment is on the boat. Your instructor will meet you at the dive shop and bring you to the boat. You will be assisted to find just the right equipment for you. Our dive equipment will be washed and collected after the dive to hang it back into the equipment room to dry.

We use for your convinience 108 size 12 l Aluminium-Tanks with DIN and INT inlay as also some 15 l steal tanks just in case someone has a bad air consumption. Just as the boat master if you would need a bigger tank. And we also have smaller tanks 8l mainly for children who can not carry the 12l tanks.

The Dive Point boat is equipped with 3 modern compressor to fill the tanks in the surface interval for you.
